Configuring SMTP data reception event logging
To configure SMTP data reception event logging:Start the Exchange Management Console.In the left pane, select Microsoft Exchange → <Instance name> → Server Configuration → Hub Transport.
Selecting a server and connection
In the upper part of the Hub Transport panel, select a server with the Mailbox role.In the Actions panel, click Properties in the group of buttons for the selected server.In the window that opens, select the Log Settings tab.
Selecting a path to save the log
Under Protocol log, in the Receive protocol path box, specify a folder for saving event log files for receiving data via the SMTP protocol.Click OK.In the Exchange Management Console window, in the lower part of the Hub Transport panel, on the Receive Connector tab, select a connection.In the Actions panel, click Properties in the group of buttons for the selected connection.In the window that opens, select the General tab.
Configuring logging for a connection
In the Protocol logging level list, select Verbose.Click OK.Event logging is configured.
