The MaxPatrol SIEM components can use service accounts to function. The accounts are not intended for a user to perform operations in the system; the accounts are used by the components to access the system resources. When MaxPatrol SIEM is deployed, the logins and passwords of the service accounts are set to default values.

You can change the passwords of service accounts. Run the password change commands in the Linux terminal interface as a superuser (root).
